稲葉雄介

YUSUKE INABA

Filmmaker. Born in 1986 in Yokohama, Japan.

He studied film at Tokyo Zokei University under a film director, Nobuhiro Suwa and a semiologist / filmmaker Kunihiko Nakagawa. His first film - “You, Mom and the Cowboy” was chosen to be screened at the local and international film festivals including the Cinema Digital Seoul Film Festival. Apichatpong Weerasethakul spoke of the film as “one of the highlights in my 2010 cinema experience”. “Hold Your Breath Like a Lover” he appeared in as a main actor was screened in 67th Locarno International Film Festival. Thailand-Japan co-produced film “Hand in the Glove” was released in Japan, Thailand and other parts of Asia. Yusuke Inaba works also as a cinematographer / editor of the several documentary films like “Chiisana Akari”.

1986年神奈川県生まれ。
地元の横浜を舞台とした初監督作『君とママとカウボーイ』(2010)がCinema Digital Seoul 2010など国内外の映画祭にて上映され、アピチャッポン・ウィーラセタクンらから高い評価を受ける。続くタイ日本共同製作映画『アリエル王子と監視人』(2015)は全編熊本でロケを行い、完成後はアジア各地で公開された。2019年初夏には『恋するふたり』(2018)が公開。他にもドキュメンタリー映画『ちいさな、あかり』(2013)等、地域に根ざした映画制作に携わる。また俳優として『息を殺して』(2014)等に出演。
